Reducing Our Carbon Footprint
We are committed to lowering greenhouse gas emissions across our value chain. General Mills, the parent company of Nature Valley, has set ambitious targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 30% by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, supported by advancing regenerative agriculture and energy-saving initiatives throughout supply and operations. By continuously improving how we make and transport our products, we aim to reduce our impact while continuing to deliver great-tasting snacks.
Building a More Resilient Supply Chain
Our oats are an essential ingredient, which is why supporting farmers and the land they rely on matters so much to us. Through our partnership with BSAG, we provide grant funding for the implementation of a transition support tool based on regenerative agriculture principles to support oat farmers in the Nordics and help protect soil health biodiversity and long-term resilience.
We are also committed to preventing deforestation. We have set ambitious goals to comply with the EU Deforestation Regulation for our Soft Baked and Protein ranges by December 2026.
Packaging: Designed with the Planet in Mind
We are working to reduce the environmental impact of our packaging. All Nature Valley packaging is designed to be 100% recyclable, and we continue to explore ways to go further by reducing plastic and improving material choices. Every change we make is another step towards more sustainable packaging solutions.
